Towing package, hitch and trailer aids
Lexus.com lists a Towing Package and hitch with 8,000-lb towing capacity as standard on all seven 2027 LX trims, with the note that additional equipment is required. It also lists Trailer Sway Control as standard on every trim.
Every 2027 LX uses a 10-speed Direct-Shift automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive with an electronic locking center differential. The LX 700h Overtrail adds electronic front, center and rear locking differentials.

Twin-turbo V6 hybrid, 457 net combined hp and 583 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm, with a 10-speed Direct-Shift automatic and full-time four-wheel drive.
LX 700h Overtrail
The off-road-focused LX 700h, with electronic front, center and rear locking differentials. Lexus.com lists seating for seven, or five as an available option.
LX 700h Ultra Luxury
The four-seat LX 700h, with the same 8,000-lb towing capacity as every other 2027 LX trim.

Towing capacity is not the only limit
The towing capacity is the most an LX is rated to pull. The trailer, the cargo on it, your passengers and the cargo inside the vehicle all have to stay within its other weight limits too, and the trailer's tongue weight counts against them.
Lexus.com lists curb weights of 5,665 lb. (LX 600 trims and the LX 700h F SPORT Handling) and 5,945 lb. (LX 700h Luxury, Ultra Luxury and Overtrail). The owner's manual for your LX has the full set of limits, including tongue weight, so read it before your first trip with a trailer.

Does the LX hybrid tow as much as the gas LX 600?
Yes. Lexus.com lists the same 8,000-lb towing capacity for the LX 700h hybrid as for the LX 600. The LX 700h has more torque, 583 lb-ft versus 479 lb-ft for the LX 600.
Is a hitch standard on the 2027 LX?
Lexus.com lists a Towing Package and hitch with 8,000-lb towing capacity as standard on all seven 2027 LX trims, with the note that additional equipment is required. Trailer Sway Control is also listed as standard.
What does "additional equipment required" mean?
Lexus.com does not list the items in its LX specifications. Your owner's manual lists what is needed to tow at the full rating, and our service team can go over it with you for your trailer.
Is the towing capacity the only limit I need to check?
